Hello everyone

Lately, I`ve done some knitted hats for the winther...and more leather keyrings (this time in black).
I`m selling these (and much more) at the Christmas market at
The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts on 30 November from 10 to 17. See you there.

Some more retro for grownup girls

...hope you`re all enjoyng the summer...
I did a few new summer retro models meanwhile - a 60` dress, x-long 70`skirt and a cirkel skirt (also from the 60 ties).
For the 1. model, I used some retro viscose, very suitable  for dressmaking. The dress has a side zipper and is very easy to put on. It also has pleats both in front and at the back and it goes down to the knees. It`s a very feminine model, so just to break the lady style a little, you can it with short boots or sneakers. Apologies to the lady style lovers - nothing wrong with it...
The 2. model is a x-long skirt (reaches your ankles) made of a ligt and drapy viscose jersey (really comfy) and it`s best to style it with a simple top or a blouse (fitted, of course). A boxy tee could be an alternative, but please don`t make it longer than your waist :-)
Ok...the 3. model is a very practical full cirkel dress made of jaquard cotton/polyester, falls beautifully, not leaving you fat and feeling like wearing a telt. It`s very feminine model, easy to mix with different tops. I make it with the elastic waist band, so you can adjust it just above the knees or wear it a little bellow the knees. Either way, this skirt is very practical little thing to have in your wardrobe.
If you´re interested in one of the models, I`ll leave the exaples for quantity and price of the fabric in shops and my price for making the clothes.

1. model (dress): 2,5 m viscose + 1 m polyester mesh (ca 200-300 DKK). Making it: 400 (DKK)
2. model (x-long skirt): 2 m viscose jersey (ca 100-150 DKK). Making it. 100 DKK
3. model (cirkel skirt): 2 m jaquard cotton/polyester or another drapy fabric (ca. 150 DKK). Making it: 200 DKK

I`ll wake up from the dead again, once I have news to share, so take care until then :-) Ciao

Alma.

It´s called "draping the scarecrow"

This japanese draped dress (main inspiration comes from a book Drape, Drape 2 by Hisako Sato) looks a bit as a scarecrow in the rye hanging on a hanger, but it turns quite nice when taken on. The project has started as a draped blouse, but then, after some carefull thinking that blown my head out, I found it to be better as a dress. So I continued working on this metamorphosis of the blouse and the skirt into a dress and added a little coloured waisband and the neckline. Here`s the finished result....
I`m thinking of making a few different variations in other colours and fabric. Maybe even as a blouse.

Material: black cotton jersey (approx.2, 5 m).
Happy go lucky, stay on for more japanese inspired scarecrows :-)

and some more summer stuff for girls...

1 + 2 pics: blue shorts (eco cotton)
3 + 4 pics: black/white shorts (eco cotton)
5 pics: rainbow skirt (eco cotton)

I´ve always been a fan of DIY. And regardless if it`s chlothes, accessories, interor or similar, it always looks better when it`s made by hands.
So, these things are ment to inspire you and to show how nice clothes can look when they aren`t mass produced.
You are, welcome to contact me for ordering stuff on pictures, suggest your own material or just to get an estimation on price. And the price is very reasonable in comparation to a very original product that you`ll get :-)

Summer pants in "berber" style for small children

These summer pants are a perfect way to show a variety of the same model. The first one is made in jersey t-shirt fabric with a Libery print and has a cute, sporty look. The other one is made of light grey cotton with a black waistband.
These are very practical trousers for small children (from 0 to 3 years) and can be made in a zillion different combinations in sizes from 68 to 92 (these are made in size 92).

For making of these pants, you need around 1 meter fabric. Unfortunately, the eksampels on pictures cannot be made in the same fabric as I only had two small pieces.
